Learn the different techniques to create a balanced mix of your musical productions.
.
This 12-hour training course is aimed at those who have created music and wonder why the end result doesn't sound like the songs of their favorite artists!
Through practical examples, theory, articles, as well as three multi-track projects that you will mix and get feedback on, Jan Pienkowski will guide you through the step by step process and techniques used by mixing and mastering engineers today. The aim is to give you a very practical and logical road map that you can adapt to any music project.
Mixing
Mixing is the process of taking all of the individual elements of a song and combining them together to form a cohesive and balanced piece of music. This process will have the greatest impact on the final sonic outcome of your project and it is the process that we will be spending the most time on in the course.
Mastering
Once your mix is complete and you are totally satisfied with the results, it is time for Mastering. Mastering is the process of preparing the final mix to be competitive and compatible with current consumer formats and sound quality.
Of course, creativity and production skill levels in recording, arranging, and programming are paramanount in making good music. However, once this phase of the production process is complete, the next most important steps are Mixing and Mastering.
